FHIR Data Exchange

Turn-key solution for exposing your data in FHIR format

Open the door for healthcare data interoperability and integration with 3rd party services, tools and partners that already speak FHIR.

FHIR Data Exchange blueprint enables you to expose your proprietary data in FHIR format. It is the perfect solution if you:

  • Want to expose the data to your partners, referrals or users

  • Need to integrate with or use external systems or tools that require access to structured data in industry standard format (FHIR)

  • Are mandated by Cures Act or other regulations to expose data in FHIR format

  • Want to make your product more competitive by making it compatible with industry standards

  • Want to keep your engineering resources focused on your core product development

Tailored 10-Step Solution:
Unleashing Your Unique Data through FHIR Standards

We understand that each client and each project is unique. You have your own data set and your own, unique interoperability challenges that cannot be solved by off-the-shelf solution. Therefore, we have crafted a solution consisting of 10 steps that will assure that your data is properly exposed through FHIR standards.

1. Selecting FHIR Server

In this step, we will conduct in-depth research to identify the FHIR server that best suits your specific needs. After carefully evaluating the available options, we will provide you with a recommendation.

2. Deploying and Configuring FHIR Server

Once we've identified the optimal FHIR server, we will proceed to deploy and configure it within your existing environment. This ensures a seamless integration process.

3. Defining Mappings for Required FHIR Profiles Compatibility

We will thoroughly examine your data model to pinpoint any gaps or overlaps. Additionally, we will define mappings between your current model and the required FHIR profile, such as the United States Core Implementation (USCI) guidelines.

4. Implementing Data Mappings

Building upon the mappings we've defined, we will practically implement these mappings. We will translate your existing data model into the target FHIR profile to ensure accurate alignment and consistent data representation.

5. Identifying the Identity Provider Server

Through comprehensive research, we will identify the Identity Provider (IP) server that aligns with your specific needs. Our choice will be based on a deep understanding of your requirements and the capabilities of available IP servers.

6. Deploying and Configuring IP Server

Once we've selected the suitable Identity Provider (IP) server, we will move forward with deploying and configuring it within your existing environment. This foundational step sets the stage for further integration.

7. Tailoring the IP Server to SMART on FHIR Specs

To ensure SMART on FHIR standards compatibility, we will customize the Identity Provider (IP) server accordingly. This customization will align the server with the specific requirements of SMART on FHIR, facilitating seamless interoperability.

8. Establishing Connectivity Between IP and FHIR Servers

This crucial phase involves connecting the Identity Provider (IP) server and the FHIR server in a manner consistent with SMART on FHIR compatibility standards. This connection is essential for enabling secure healthcare data exchange.

9. Developing and Executing Tests

To verify compliance with regulatory standards, we will develop and execute a series of Inferno tests. These tests will rigorously assess your system's alignment with established regulations, ensuring data security and integrity.

10. HIPAA Compliance

In the final step, we will create comprehensive documentation outlining your system's compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This documentation will serve as evidence of your adherence to stringent healthcare data protection and privacy regulations.
